I swung by my cycle parts store and they had full set of 132.5s I'll get those in by the weekend and see how that goes. I also got a new clutch cable. Mine's so stiff my hand was in agony this morning.

The wrenching gods have spoken!

The 3rd and last vehicle that I have at my disposal to get to work decided to start running like crap and throw misfire codes. I pulled the plugs and I've never seen any as terribly eroded. I'm taking that as a sign I need to stay home and wrench on all 3 vehicles that need it.

I got the new jets and cable installed and went for a run.

Feels much better. I could get it up to 100 but still feels a little under powered in 4th and 5th gear 8k range.

I took it home and rebalanced the carbs and raised the needles a little, slot 2 to 4 or is it the other way around?

It felt a bit more snappy after that but still feels like it's struggling at WOT in 4th and 5th, still cant get it past a ton. I'm missing something, I'll have to think on it a bit. I'm glad to have it running well enough that I can ride it to work and around the canyons.

nice day but a bit hazy.

What do your plugs look like at high speed?

I forgot to take my socket with me so I'm not sure. Still indicating good at idle/street speed.

It might have to build up compression now it's running good.

Do you have pods on your bike? I'm just trying to decide what size jets to get. I'm just running the standard airbox and filter but have the 4-1 and Kerker and soon to be bigger muzzy.

see my reply on page 1, your 115 main sounds far too small to me. I'm using 137.5, sounds a bit too big I know...

Good point, maybe I just need time to give this old lump time to catch up if it ever does.

I understood but IDK if you have pods or not. The only size they had available in a full set over 130 was the 132.5 and considering the difference in altitude I figured it would probably work.

This is my route I took for the second run It varied from 4300 - 5100 ft. Once I start going up those canyons I'll be up over 9k in some cases. There's a few day rides i can take that go above 10.

Took it for a nice tame, mostly, I hr ride. It ran really well and I have no complaints. I really like the drag bars. They are pretty much the perfect position for me. Not too low or too far forward. If I crank the bars to one side or the other the switch housings just slightly kiss the top of the tank. I'll se if I can't make some slight adjustments to cure that. I believe it is time to start going to work on it.

I did get a toe scraper which I caught it with my new cam. I included the vintage Ranchero that passed me just before.
