Forget about the seat pan for now. You first should weld in a piece to connect the rear left and right frame rails or you will have independent rear suspension on the bike (not a good thing). You don't want to be riding a flexible flyer. The piece you weld in may influence the shape of the seat pan you design; that's why I suggest you do the welding first. Ed

^ exactly why I said the rear isn't complete. It was just easy to fool around with the tape last night, haha

Cut the rear fender a bit to fit and used a 5/8 heater hose to space it off the tire. Side with the chain is cut perfect for clearance, did the same on the side with the brake, and it's a bit too much; will tack a slice back later.
Now to mounting it permanently and then getting a hoop bent up for the rear brace.

Said F U to fiberglass and started making the seat pan out of metal ... Rear hoop is being ordered today, found it on ebay in the dimensions I need. Could make it locally, but the guy doesn't have the correct die for the bend and would have to piece it together.

Almost done with the front section of seat pan, just need to do the two sides that flank the sides of the tank. The rear hoop is in the mail, then I'll finish the rear
