TOPIC:

Well, I got a bit of a "look" at the Kerker yesterday. More of a glimpse and a "feel". it's still packed in a room full of old bikes. There wasn't any room to get a really good look. I was able to run my hand along the pipes and check for dings. Nothing of any significance to report.

There's definitely a need to blast them with something and paint 'em, but that was to be expected.


Also have a lead on some rearsets.

I should have both in my hands by the end of next week. Pictures then!

Drooz this winter is too long, have you seen Vancouver? the tulips are already in blossom. I am getting frustrated.

Yessir!! Waaaaaayyyyyyy tooooooooo loooooonnnnggg here!! I have a couple of friends out there. Ticks me off to hear about their weather.

Ridiculously cold in the garage... It means I spend way too much time on the internet.

STILL waiting for a bit of a thaw to get into a garage to get at a little "goldmine" of bits for this project.

I have to get a windscreen for the fairing and we'll have to make up a bracket to make the rearsets work but that's all doable.

Hey JR, it's always fun to snag some bits, ain't it?!

Well, I finally got my '85 GPz parts bike home!!

I don't have very good pics, but here are the important parts:

There are carbs as well, but I forgot to take a pic.

I'm really just looking to keep the Kerker pipe and the engine and carbs. The rest will be sold off locally.

Made some progress. The bike is on the stand and the new/old front end is on!

This pic still shows the old Mac pipe of course. Can't wait to have this beauty done!

Got the windscreen on and repairs have been started. It'll be ready for paint later this week!

It. been flippin 100F down here. It's cold, then it's HOT.

It's snowing again. But for the beer I'd be very depressed.
