Aha! I spy an hydraulic clutch lever.Whats happening at the other end? Have you started on it yet? Any pictures? I was looking at my plate today and Im not happy with the profiling I did.It needs something else. Im going to have another crack at it tomorrow, hopefully. Will post pictures.

Dav, you did a good job on the plate but if I decide to do it, I'll use the stock cover and mount it from the inside.

Thanks Steve. Not there yet. Im curious as to how Kawaholic is going to handle his. Ive heard of internal conversions but I think that it takes a custom made slave cylinder. I dont see a standard one fitting. There is a German guy that makes them.
Kawaholic, sorry,not trying to hijack.

I have the template done but I am supposed to ride in a Distinguished Gentlemen's ride end of Sept so I may have to go back to the cable for the ride. We will see what happens. I won't get crazy with the plate like you did, mine will be pretty simple. When my brother gets the hang of his CNC machine maybe I can make one that looks nice. ;-)

There is a conversion kit sold by Z1 but it's $400. Webike.net sells a conversion plate, n9 slave cylinder, for $200

The links don't work. Dav, I was thinking there is so much room under the cover, it might be possible to cut 10mm off the inside where it meets the case to fit the stock cover over all of it. There are so many J models out there, it may cost very little to see if it can be done. I use to have three for my bike and I'd like to buy a nicer one than I have now when I can afford it. The one I have is nicked all over having been in a box with other parts over the years. If I do, I'll have one to experiment with.
