where did you get that awesome new wheel from?

Had to buy everything separately. New chromed aluminum 2.50 x 19 rim, new SS spokes from Buchanan, new EBC rotors and a used front hub. The hub was stripped and rebuilt before the wheel was laced.

I'm having 2nd thoughts about painting the rotor centers gold but they do match the factory stripes pretty well. I'm disappointed that the anodized shocks and oil filler cap don't match the other gold a little better. They are a much more copper-like gold. I didn't realize that until I got them.

Yes, plenty of clearance all around. The fender I installed isn't stock but it's very similar. I'm sure the stock fender would fit without issue. The tire is a 100/90-19, which I believe is the standard size.

I already went back to a polished aluminum oil fill cap to match the cam end plugs. I'm looking for another set of shocks....these came from Australia so a return isn't in the cards. I have an NOS pair of GS1100 shocks but they are pretty short when mounted on the KZ. The ugly gold ones are extra long which works out nicely (except for the looks, of course). ;)

Funny you should mention the seat...I'm looking for another one! The Corbin GFL is truly the most comfortable seat I've ever had on any motorcycle, but I'm not crazy about the looks either. I'd like to have another, better looking seat for the 99% of the time I'm not traveling on a long trip. It takes about 2 minutes to change, so no problem there. Still somewhat of a work in progress. :)

Last edit: by 79MKII. Reason: corrected "GS1000" to "GS1100"

That seat looks fine, it just needs an LTD grab bar to blend it in to the tail piece.

Use the plastic coat stuff. Then down the road if you sell them you can just peel it off.
