be wary of the fact that you may have a sixth gear and most everyone only has 5.

ok so i should get my carbs in the mail today got a set for parts off ebay so i dont have to fab a choke flap. i also ordered a new agm battery yesterday that should be here in a day or 2. i found a brake master cylinder off a ninja im need to pick up along with a shorter brake line. then an oil change and i should be set to get her fired. and will be able to ride her after i figure out how i want to mount the front turn signals. this is taking longer than i want (cant seem to find time to work on her )but im keep telling my self dont rush do it right it will pay off but i wanna ride now grrr

I know the exact anticipation your feeling brotha!! and yes just piecing it right the first time with no rush will reward ya later with reliability. Ive been screwing up here n there rebuilding back the carbs because of anticipation lol but all i say to myself is in "due time i will ride...." hopefully ready by the summer!!

I see that it's been about a month, but there are several ways to mount the turn signals at the front. You can install turn signal stems in place of the big headlight bolts. I used KZ650 rear turn signal stems. KZ400 stems are another. Some Honda CB stems of the era are similar to the 400 stems.

Rear Brake Shoes... replace them if they are old. The adhesive that binds the linings to the shoes can fail over time, so a lining can get jammed between the shoe & drum, locking the rear wheel. It happens.

for the front i just removed them because i just found out the law in fl is if theres no mounts the cops cant right u a ticket  i might take the handle bar mounts off the front(fronts are 3 wire rear are 2 :silly: ) and put them on the grab bar because its a 7/8th bar so i would be able to slide them where ever i need them once i get the bag mounts and stuff.

but right now i am dealing with a no spark issue i think i fired my coils like an idiot. waiting on a new multimeter so i can go through the wiring

im also thinking of just redoing all the wiring (just building a new harness) and cutting out whats not needed anyone know where the bare basic wire diagram is ive seen it post just cant find it when i need it

If as you stated the coils measure 3.3 Ohm's across the Primary winding/ small wire terminals, they should be fine with your bikes electrical. Hopefully they can mount up also.
