Thanx,

The speedo is a copy of the "Koso Digital Cockpit Rx2n Speedo" so I guess the instruction is the same
Did a search a while ago and found some useful info on the manufacturers webpage, but I guess it´s trial and error until your happy.

Give me a month or two and I shall be about to hook it up..

Nice job on the speedo mount. Does this mean the bike will do "lightspeed"? :woohoo:
Seriously Arnold I love watching your build.

I've said it before, and I'll say it many times more- you're a fabricating genius,Arnold. I'd pack my bike into a box and ship it your way anytime to have a build done by you. As always, you pay so much attention to detail and make things look stock all the time. Well done, I can't wait to see/hear a video of this beauty running :)

Hey, Arnold. Is there any chance you'd be willing to share the mechanical model file you used to create this cover? I've been trying to think of an easy way to get accurate measurements for the mating holes and shaft centers, but it looks like you've already nailed it.

Anyone know if the "J" engine uses the same bolt hole and shaft locations as the 73-80 engines?

Actually, it would be cool to create a library of the hole and mating surface dimensions for all of the engine covers (clutch, generator, chain cover, etc). I'm sure we could find others who have measured and modeled these already.

Thanks guys !

Glad that I can inspire you guys to push on with your builds, I too have my moments when motivation is needed.

650mod: I´m sure your bike will come out just as good...! And think about the shipiing cost you´ll save

Dohc: Yep, I can share the file...send me a PM.

Looks great Arnold!

DOHC - I recently ordered a cover from D&G and I noticed an extra hole that I didn't need and wasn't present on my PMFR cover. D&G said it is for the "J" model engines. With that, I'm assuming that the bolt holes are the same except for one ... or maybe all the same plus an extra for the J. The extra hole is just below the shift shaft. Here is a pic:
