Hello all!! I figured I'd start my own build page. I already dove in and stripped every nut and bolt off. I'm sure most of you can imagine what a $300 complete bike looks like though haha. Its an 82 kz1000 csr I picked up and yes it has a title. It is complete but the PO had decided to rip the motor apart and never put it back. which left me with a pile of useless/sandy/corroded parts. but i found this gem on ebay, delivered for $400 and its claimed to only have 4,200 miles. I believe it too, i pulled the cam cover off and it looks brand new. no joke!! ill post pics later but i swear not even a bit of browning inside. cam lobes look like a mirror. anyway, here's what I have so far (what im keeping anyway)

The only problem with this motor (so far) is that some of the fins on the head had broken off

I'm gonna have Leon do it more than likely. I don't have any real access to a lathe

Damn those look beautiful. I just don't think I could justify the extra expense right now. I still don't even have a swingarm setup yet. I have a line on an 05 Yamaha R6 complete rear for $250. that's with wheel, tire, swinger, shock and linkage, rear sets, and brakes. idk how easily the R6 swinger will work but I imagine it will be as hard/easy as any of the other tried and true swaps. The seller said its 9.75" at the pivot and I think mine is 9.5" so I guess just shave an eighth on each side. Any input on which way I should go would be apprectated
