That is just ugly, who would od that let alone ride it that way. Bet that thing flexed all over over, like riding with a flat tire.

Yea, they really chewed it up. But I buttoned up the neck and my rear shock mounts today B) B) let me know if you guys see anything wrong with my design. Its 3/8" plate notched, bent, then welded back with 1/8" gussets

Not busting on your work but man that neck repair you did doesn't look all that great to me i would have cut that whole gusset plate out, slugged it and fully welded it. Doesn't even look like that backbone is fully welded

I see the mount as wanting to flatten out and spread the frame rails under heavy loading. The triangle gussets don't look like they really gusset anything but I could be wrong. I would make some sort of vertical brace instead.

Or run a couple bars across the frame above that other mount then gussets down to that, should help with that spreading and flexing issue

Yea guys you're not hurting my feelings. Haha I'm not an engineer so I like the feedback. On the rear, I was gonna run something vertical or something kinda like a bridge that would keep it from spreading the frame rails. Ill make something to address that. But up front... I know it looks like s**t in the pic but it turned out really nice. Plus there's the brace that goes over what's in those pics. I have supreme confidence in it. Especially since some idiot rode it the way it was for god knows how long.

I noticed you were using an M-Unit electrical system. Have you done any of the wiring yet? I have been thinking of using it, but would love to hear how it worked for you. Your bike is looking very cool (I think I would have passed out after seeing that head tube!).

I know this is a stupid question but I need to ask anyway.
So did you check the frame out to make sure it was all squared up and straight before patching it back together?
Id also weld up the areas where you ground off the old patch job, theres a lot of frame material missing in those grinder marks i see. B)
