Chaotic is right the second time. That actually is a mounting tab that is threaded. Was looking at it and the stem of the blacked out signals. The thread fits perfect both ways just by chance. Go figure nearly perfect place and no modifications needed. Love it when something I didn't plan comes together.

Hey guys,

Do any of you happen to know how to take the rear shocks apart? I've been tryin to fiddle with them by kinda of releasing the tension of spring but isn't working. Would helpo me move along with the project a good amount.

That will be asking a lot from those shocks. A 250 Rebel weighs 300 lbs.; a KZP weighs 600 lbs. So even if you can trim 100 lbs from the KZP the shocks will be undersized for the job. Ed

Thanks 650. I've decided to not go that route and try to alter the stock rears instead.

So I remounted the speedo to a slightly different location. Didn't like how they were just poking out in front like that. Do you guys think it takes away from the clubmans in this configuration??

I'm liking how you mounted it. It looks like a better spot than stock to me :)

Been a lil bit since I've been able to get any real work accomplished.

But have knocked out some key items such as

New 9'-1/4' struts
Mounted Rear fender
Rewelded the lowered resection of the frame
Played a little with wiring

Without completed welding, so don't be scared

With the frame all welded up and the fender on in its final location, I mocked up the leaf spring seat. Was really simple. Only hard thing was sharpening the damn drill bit cause the ones at the shop suck.

I really like the ride height. Put a block of wood on it n sat down. Was nice n cozy.
