I had a great time watching the game at my friends house here in Cape Coral Florida while on vaction from the cold back at home in Michigan.
Our friends we are staying with are KC fans so my wife and I decided to cheer for them too.
It was a great game overall and  the only weakness from my point of view was some calls by the refs I didnt agree with.
Great friends , food and drinks  plus the Chiefs won made for a wonderful time
Half time show just shows how old I am. I knew Riahnas name , but nothing else about her or her music
Took real guts  on her part to be hanging from the ceiling on a shaky platform
but her dancers costumes were just plain ass weird to me . Oh well
The game was exciting  with great plays by both teams
How did the rest of you spend your evening ?
Dave

Dave,  Thanks for sharing.  Sounds like a great SB 2023  gathering in FL. Nice.

I'll chime in before I have to get back to work :
The weather was pretty  decent in Indy on Super bowl Sunday.   Sunny and 50's in the afternoon.   A quiet day, a simple day.  It was great for us.
Kinda of a James Taylor kinda day.  Pure joy.  LOL
We started the day reviewing the brown, almost rotting banannas - so, we crafted 2 loaves of bread -with walnuts.   The smell was awesome.
Gave that stinky ol' Pug a bath.  Maya was not happy,  but thrilled afterwards.  Smells much better now.

So, midday,  some homemade ham n bean soup for lunch. Fork yeah!   Delicious.
Later, Changed into some shorts and sat on the nice sunny deck with the special wife and listened to the wind with a cold beverage.   The cat and dog chimmed in too.
We tuned into the game with another cold beverage and created some homemade beef Nachos.  Extra cheese.  OMG.
It was a great day!
It was a great Superbowl game. And plus one on the Halftime show comment.
Commercials are always fun.   What, like $7 million for an ad/ spot ?   Wow.
And, we'll note that I had dabbled with a KZrider MC task earlier in the morning.  I am testing out some new rubber gas line that was reviewed as an inferior product.  It is still soaking in the fuel today.    Have a good week Kzriders !    Just 35 days until Spring !
Probably get a bike out today or tomorrow hopefully.  Ride on !
Charlie

Watching Jeff Dunham, turned off the SB when I heard the black national anthem. I thought we were one nation United under one flag. Pushing division is wrong. We are not a black nation and a white nation. We are the “United” States! The National Anthem isn’t the white anthem, it is our anthem! This junk is going to tear us apart and only cause more division. We need to come together as Americans first. Our constitution will protect everything else.

Have not and will not watch any NFL (National Felons League) game for five or so years now.

Dug up an old tape of the 1989 Daytona 500 and watched that instead of the super bowl.

Just wondering how long it will be before the first NFL player will be charged with a felony since the season has ended. Asking for a friend!!!

I was happy KC won and am a Patrick Mahomes (spelling?) fan.   But I turned off NFL and most other pro sports after all the woke BS that is dividing our country.
It doesnt help that my Chicago Bears have sucked for a very long time.
Here is a photo of my grandfather who played for the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cardinals in the 1920's.  Carl Hanke Sr.

This was back when you could legally "Clothesline" the QB without getting a 15 yard penalty and an ejection and big fine!

attached team pic is from 1922.

Those old dudes were tough as nails and for little pay.
The poor dancers had to wear those big funky outfits because Rihana is pregnant with baby fat so they must have figured that if the dancers looked chunky that nobody would notice Rihanna was too. It didn’t work. That’s my take on it.

There is a photo of a female politician not standing for the black national anthem. Yet, all the other people in the photo were standing. It is sad how complient we have become as a people. I love the game of footall. I still watch games, but not pregame or halve time. I watch games on broadcast network TV. Once the NFL goes totaly streaming or pay per view, I'm out. But I'm sure the NFL will do fine without me. Most people today just want to br entertained, no mater what the cost.
