Here's a mediocre pic in the dismal afternoon light. I've had some setbacks in my hauling business (truck problems) and haven't finished up the sanding/buffing on the tail, or made the seat cove, but I think this pic gives a good feel for the bike when taken as a whole. That's really what I'm after...no one part pulling too much attention away from the whole. It rides great, even with the almost finished look going on.

Thanks guys! I've been a little discouraged that it isn't finished, but things happen. We're having a rash of truck problems. Yesterday the cooling fan clutch and hub bearings both went out at the same time. $730 in parts, and unknown labor (probably about 3 hours at $50). I was within 23 stops of being done, on a rural route. So today I start about 4 hours late (if nothing goes wrong at the shop), and still will be behind when i finish today's route, until I get those 23. SO it's nice to hear the kind words...even though I have been behind on my pics. :silly:

Looks great Ron. If you call that being behind, I'm in big trouble.

I guess You could say I'm a little "overly aggressive" when it comes to some things. I really got frustrated with Chris on his CBR makeover, because it took so long (3 months). I probably watched too many American chopper episodes..and I'm from new York too! Pauly is right about the creative process, though. Drawings are nice, but you really don't know until you build one. Then the ugly little details present themselves, and you have to iron them out, or it just won't work. For example, The frame takes a very slight bend at about the half way point of the pan. This combined with the thickness of the vinyl caused the whole unit to rock forward when i sat on it. Flexing in the fiberglass allowed the tail to raise about 1/2 inch off the rear of the frame, causing it to rattle, and misaligning the taillight and lens. Dim light, rattle...gotta fix that (I did), but who would have figured? Little stuff like that takes extra time, and it's all custom, so who knows what's next? Then there's the weather. Shooting outside, it seems like the weeather goes south right when I'm ready to paint something. It sure is a blast, though...both to work on and to ride.
