Given they don't really exist (my fab skills) that seems unlikely but would doing something like that work with the fender in place? Prefer the idea of shortening it or removing it (though not sure if that's possible).

Attaching it to the seat would mean that it doesn't matter what you do with the fender, however I wouldn't remove it completely as it keeps dirt and water out of the electrics and the air box (you could shorten it though)

Understood and good point. Thought I imagined attaching it to the frame somehow, otherwise you'd need awfully long wires if they were going to move with the seat.

If you run the wires along the "hinge" side of the frame they wouldn't be any longer than they are now(running to the end of the fender)

Fair point, guess I'll have to see if I can find anything in terms of a bracket/fender extension that might work or try my hand at fabricating something to work.

Any pics of the fender delete? Curious how this works and how it would look

I'm running a pair of Rizoma Iride S (tailight, brake light, turn signal) on a KZ440. No cutting. Just probably a larger washer.
This taillight may be on the verge of being discontinued.

Thanks and did you just remove the stock fender entirely?

Forgive me as I've not done it but how exactly do you remove it entirely? Seems it's more than bolted in, no?

Thanks, that might work. Do you have any pics of the rear fender delete?

It has been awile but I think it was bolted in a few places.
Look up the part by itself online and see what kind of mounts the fender has.
