To my knowledge, Kawasaki doesn't publish color code information for engine paint. And I've never seen any paint manufacturer selling engine paint specific to a motorcycle manufacturer. Further, most engine paint sold in the aftermarket is pretty poor quality, regardless of the color. VHT is popular, but its nowhere near the durability of the original paint Kawasaki used. That stuff was great!

The best bet is likely to be to buy some POR 15 and paint all of the covers at the same time.

High temperature powder coat or ceramic coating are better choices than VHT and other commonly available paints, but they are more expansive.

I used Por-15 silver engine paint one time, and the cylinder head, around the exhaust ports, turned yellow after just a couple hundred miles. I had to tear down the engine, because the Athena gaskets I used failed, and I used VHT paint instead. VHT is brittle, and cracks easily, but at least it doesn't turn yellow.

I wonder if that is unique to the silver paint? I do not recall seeing folks complain about discoloration with the black paint. I used to use black VHT on the header and mid pipe on my ZRX. After a few months, it would start to go grey near the exhaust ports, and the whole thing would need to be redone every couple of years. I finally got tired of that routine, and had Polymer Dynamics ceramic coat the system last week. They have a fairly new anti-rust primer and a one year warranty against rust. Fingers crossed.

That may be what I was thinking about instead of the POR15. Seems like there was a member here some years ago that painted his engine with gold Cerokote.
