plastic chrome was created by ckahleer
You can buy a can of chrome spray paint, yet it looks like dull alunimum when applied. So how did they get the plastic cap to look like chrome? It must be a dirt cheap process, as I see many cheap consumer plastic items with that same "chrome" finnish.

Not sure about the rattle can cap but this is just one example of spray chrome.

There is a shop in Australia that does the tops of Z1 shocks, but it's not cheap.  I don't know anyone else that does it.  I can look for the address if you're serious.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.
