Heres a picture of the rear spokes in question. The one with tape on it shows how many threads of the spoke was threaded into the nipple(the tape was placed at the end of the nipple on the spoke, then I lossened the nipple up until it clicked showing that the spoke was loose from the nipple) The spoke was being held on by 3 threads in the nipple. This ia a dangerous "professional" lacing job. It was performed by a British motorcycle shop that was/is located in Deer Park, MD. The owner of this bike spent alot of money on the wheels alone (powder coat rims and hubs, Buchannon spokes, etc)
I am very glad that the owner of this bike did not complete this bike on his own, as most people would not have noticed this until it was too late.
