Thanks for all the help guys! Very Interesting! I've been looking around and I found a 1981 1000 LTD, and a 1981 z 1000 CSR, BOTH have spoked wheels, both black, stock paint. the CSR is in better shape, costs more too. - Less Miles. - Farther away. No tali pices, rear fenders. Both. I Guess that I'm after a more classic look, wanting spoked wheels. Any web site for the shop in Omaha! Haveing fun just looking!

Not sure about the cranks, but ignition was definately points on a 1979 LTD1000 and the carbs were the 26mm on the 1979 LTD with accelerator pumps, where the MKII had 28mm. Not sure about the carbs on the 1980, if they went to 28s or not. Like I say, I'm no expert on LTDs as I never was interested in them particularly. I assumed the engines were always identical between the models, but they aren't

I can tell you for sure that the 1980 KZ1000 LTD came with the VM28's, and has electric ignition. I know because I have one. Thanks go to WiredGeorge for helping me to identify the carbs as VM28's.
