centering rim was created by mark1122
I just got a ZRX12 rear end. It seems that the rim is not centered in the swing arm.It is off by 3/16". Is this normal ?should this be a concern?

id check to see if swingarm is straight 1st,then i would make new spacers to center up wheel once its on your bike.swingarm might be offset in frame for clearance issues on bike it came off of ;)

check to see if the center of the tire is under the center of your frame

I shimmed the wheel and did an alignment check(with string) with the front tire and it seams good now.I just cant understand why it would be offcenter?

It seams I will need a 1" offset sprocket on the front(this will require a suport), and I have clearance issuse with the frame. What do you think if i reduce the front offset by 3/8" and add it to the back sprocket in the oposite direction?this would give me 2 offset sprockets and eliminate the need for a front sprocket suport, while adding frame clearance.

just remember offsetting the rear sprocket towards the tire can only go so far before it hits the tire;) make sure you have the room before you try anything. also, you probably wont find an offset rear sprocket. you could make one, but I think the easiest thing to do would be to machine down the sprocket carrier to move the stock sprocket in for the same effect;)

Ive decided to remove material from the rear hub (cush drive) to make it line up with the front sprocket.
