cbr600 wheels and front end. was created by DaytonaMC
I have a 1990 cbr600hurricane that I want to rob the front fork and wheels off for my 77 1000ltd. The stem does not want to work is there any simple solution? I was just wondering if any of you have done this particular set up? Thanks

I must remove my skin.....

never looked at a CBR lower triple, but the KZ is probably welding in. grind the weld off, and press it out. get the cbr lower, i would guess it is bolted and pressed in. take it apart the cross you fingers they are the same size. if not you will need some machining or spacer made up. it is not too hard, i just pressed up a yz250 triple onto a kz400 stem.

Do it right or don't bother doing it at all.

yes that was helpful thanks.
If the kz stem has a smaller O.D. than the CBR stem do I need to use some sort of spacer in between?

if the kz stem is smaller id have it turned down on bottem then have a bushing machined to size and have it welded on that way the bushing is big enough to support it.;)

now I got the stem problem taken care of but, now my rear axle is a bit smaller than my stock axle. do I just change the bearings on the cbr rim to fit my stock axle or what?
