according to galaxian, my stem should press into the zx7 stem (cut off at the top of the triple) I tried it, and it didnt want to go(couldnt fit it in the hose crimper for some extra power either) so its sitting in a freezer till I try it again, hopefully it will shrink enough to make a difference, I know it does with other stuff with really tight tolerances....

yes, just the regular deep freeze. a few hrs have made impossible-to-fit pins on some of dads heavy equipment slide right in.Heat the clamp when you do this too. Just use a propane torch and give it a few minutes of heat.
You'll be suprised how much of a difference it can make.
