Rebuild front mastercylinder was created by steveskz
Hi, I have a 79 kz1000st that has a leaking front brake caliper on right side. I purchesed new caliper seals for both sides & ordered new pads for both calipers. Would like to know would it be a good idea to rebuild the front naster cylinder at this time even if it not leaking at this time? thanks Steve:cheer:

It isn't really necessary I would think. Where was the caliper leaking? The dust seals won't stop leaking... there is a rubber seal on the piston but it is more likely the leak was coming from where the internal oring goes (there is an oring between the two halves) or perhaps the crush washers on a banjo bolt.
