750? Front Forks was created by mariozappa
I have a '82 750H LTD project bike that some one has swapped out the front forks on it.
The are not leading axle, rather the axle is on the bottom of the forks like my 650's.

The top fork bolt (fork cap) looks like it would take the largest allen wrench I've ever seen to get it out.
And set deeper down in the bolt past the allen wrench area, it looks like you have a spot for a giant torx bit you could use instead. If any one has this type of fork bolts, it would help me identify closer to what year they are.

My problem is: the front rim has a slight dent in it, enough to want to make me get a new one.
It holds air and I have rode it down the road at about 30-40 MPH, but we all know Kawi's prefer not to go that slow and I'd rather not find out at speed that I should have replaced it.

So my question is: Are the front axles on most of the KZ's (mostly 650 and 750) the same diameter or are they different? I looked at kawasaki.com, but I didn't see any reference to the diameter, just the length.
The rim in question looks to be (to me anyway) and older style 650 rim, but I could be wrong.
If I get another rim, I want to make sure the axle I already have in the forks with work with the rim.

Did that makes sense?

Pics coming soon!

I'm still looking to buy a better micrometer than the crappy ones at autozone, any suggestions?

There is a wheel bearing list in the Filebase, if you go there and see what wheel bearings each model has, then that will tell you the axle size. The last number of the bearing gives you the bore diameter, and thus the axle diameter.
The first colunm after the bearing number is the Bore diameter, the second column is the Outside diameter, and the third column is the thickness.
I hope the formatting comes out right :)
