newbie question - 650 fork interchangeability was created by qaanaaq
Hey, great site and forum - I've already gotten a lot of useful information and links. I recently picked up a '77 KZ650C1. It's in ok shape, runs sorta well, but has a bit more rust than I'm comfortable with.
One of the ugliest areas is the fork steering stem (not sure if that's the right part name, but it's basically the lower portion of the triple tree, where the fork tubes fit into). It's a bit rusted, doesn't appear to have any cracks that I can see, but I'd like to replace it if possible.
Does anyone know which years and models of KZ650s might fit that? Thanks for any help.

Welcome to KZR.
Like wireman said, it should be salvagable.
All the C models should be a dirrect fit, as well as the B models. Possably the D models as well. Check out the "buykawasaki" site, clicking on Search by model info - continue, the the years etc, then parts diagrams, and you get blown up parts diagrams and the part numbers. Then compare the #s between models.
Give us some pictures as well, a must from all new members.
