No stock grab bar or center stand? was created by kiriuskris
On my 82 KZ750 Twin, it does not have a center stand or a grab bar. I looked through the parts pages and could not find a part number for either. Was there a reason that Kawasaki didn’t include a center stand for my bike? Is this a common occurrence and can I put one on?
Were grab bars stock or dealer installed options? It looks like I could put one on my bike. If so, which one should I use? Thanks!

Never had a center stand, can't get it...w/o modification. When I get mine running again, I'll be looking to try to mod it, w/some other bikes centerstand. Don't know why they didn't have it.

Some of the LTD style bikes came from the factory without center stands. They have a beefier side stand, because that's all you got.
On mine, the pipes run under the engine, and would interfere with a centerstand, so it was eliminated. If your current pipes won't interfere, then it shouldn't be hard to just add a centerstand.

76-79 750 twins had center stands.
80 and 82 750 twins did not have center stands.
83 750 twin had a center stand.
The ones without a center stand don't have the brackets on the frame for one.
I'm sure that brackets could be fabbed though, if I ever get caught up I might see about making a bolt on conversion.
