Cruising Pegs

I want to attach cruising pegs on my little case savers. I looked at Whitney and D.Kirk. Looks like a clamp-on set will cost about $25.
Will the clamp-on's hold tight, or will they move every time I put my boots on them?
Anyone using this style of peg?

I know, I know.
But my Kalifornia Kruiser is hard to cruise on. The LTD seat doesn't give me much room to move around, and after about an hour, I really want to stretch my legs.
I don't know how some of you ironbutts can do the miles you do without a second set of pegs.

I agree. The stock peg location $ucks unless your legs are only 18" long :S . I have pegs on the crash bars but don't know how they hold up yet. Gotta get her road worthy first.

If you get the clamp on ones make double sure they are on solid. My bro put a pair on his 750 case savers and on a big bump one slipped and he almost crashed. He came closr to putting his foot down at 40 mph in a very serious position. Now he dosent use them and they hold mosture and I can see rust coming from under them. I have solids on my 900 LTD. I have cursed them when wakling around bike for taking out my shin bit I can say they will not slip. I got them on e-bay and they are the twisted RR spike kind. I don't like them on straight bikes but youre right LTD's need them for comfort. They do help a lot and I find myself using one or the other but usually not both. I don't know why that is. Luck!
