with the weight off the front wheel it is not to exceed 36 psi be sure that the right and the left are within 1.4 psi of each other. this can be done with a tire pump if you want or have one. if the air does exceed 36 psi expect to see your fork seal leak shortly thereafter. :woohoo:

According to Clymer manual spec:
7 to 10 psi is the usuable range for the forks.
8.5 is standard pressure for the forks.
5.7 to 32 psi is the usuable range for the rear shocks.
According to Kawasaki's shop manual spec:
7.1 to 10 psi is the usuable range for the forks.
5.7 to 21 is the usuable range for the rear shocks.
FORKS: not to exceed 36 psi during filling then bleed off to usuable range.
SHOCKS: not to exceed 71 psi during filling then bleed off to desired need.
Adjust pressure with the wheel off the ground, bearing no load.
USE A HAND AIR PUMP LIKE FOR A BICYCLE
DO NOT USE A COMPRESSOR!!!!! THEY FILL TO QUICKLY
IF YOU EXCEED THE NEED YOU WILL REPLACE FORK SEALS OR SHOCKS!!

Mike just had a look in the owners book and it says for front forks standard pressure 8.5psi with usable range 7.1 to 10 psi,the front forks are linked just below the head light so you only have a valve on the lefthand fork top.The rear settings are for one person 11psi with a range of 5.7psi to 21psi,pressures to be checked with weight off the suspension.
tyre pressures are front 28psi and rear 28 to 36psi

Thanks everyone. I have ordered a manual but I may take her on a little drive today if I get her running right and didn't want to mess something up.
