Several people on here have discussed changing their front brakes to a dual disc system. Has anyone ever tried it on a KZ440? If so what kind of system did you use and how did it work out. I have also toyed with the idea of repacing the rear drum with a disc, any ideas on that?

Apparently using the "Back" function in the browser causes problems with new posts. Sorry about that.

I have never worked on a 400/440 so I have no idea what will be required to convert it to dual disk, but you may find info at
www.kz400.com
.
I think the rear drum brake is lighter than the disk and provides more than enough stopping power anyway, so it's not worth converting to a disk.
