Angle on rear wheel seems weird was created by ran429
I am trying to remount my rear wheel.
It seems to me that its ot aligning with the frame or rear fender at all. it sits just to the left of center.
Im not going to worry too much about it at the moment but could a few of you take photos facing the rear of your bikes while they are up on the center stands, I would like to see if its just mine or if they all sit this way. Even Mossbeater did it and I remember hating it then too.
I will post a pic of mine after awhile.

looks to me as if maybe you got your spacers on backwards. or your missing the on on the left side. my 76 has one on each side, one is wider than the other. Hope this helps.

oh well, the spacers will only go in one way, two different widths, larger diameter for the drive side as per manual photo. I did it right.
Guess I am done for the weekend now. going to have to take it back apart and try the spacers or Swingarm from the other frame.
Do these swingarms bend easy? wheel is mounted to the second notch on each side.

Do you have the correct brake disc on it? I was having a PITA getting a wheel on until I noticed I had the wrong brake disc on and that was messing up my spacing for the rear wheel

Yeah, everything is stock on it, from this bike except the rear wheel, but its off another 81 750E that I have here for a boneyard.
so I am going to have to pull it again and use the other spacers i have soaking.

has the bike ever been down?
It could be the area behind the seat at the rear shocks has been bent slightly. I had the same problem with my LTD.
It seems a little twisted to me judging by the pic.
I may be wrong, but it seems that the rear part of the frame is closer to level with the ground than your tire/wheel. try measuring from the wheel center to the fender bolts on each side and see if they are the same length. Then try the same to the frame.
Once again, I may be seeing it from a strange angle on my screen, but I think that is worth looking into.

it could have been, i dont know much on its history.
But the right timing cover was pretty cheese grated, nothing else though - Just the cover.
I will go measure right now. if thats the case, I will need a good 2x4 and bend it back!

Looks like the fender is twisted to the right a little.

Is the rear brake disc centered in the caliper carrier? If so then it's probably not spacers. It's the frame or swingarm. I've straightened a few, but it's very time consuming and not easy. If the bike rides straight, I would just try to tweak the fender to make it look better.
