Trying to Avoid Restoration Gotcha's!

I'm with wireman on your powder coated calipers. I just used Duplicolor paint from a rattle can on mine, after sanding and priming the calipers. It's held up fine, no blisters.
I don't ride twisties, much, so I'm probably not heating up the calipers like some hard riders, but for normal riding, you should be good. Wish I'd powdercoated, but I was too anxious to RIDE!

and I still have trouble with this on the Z1 series, The order to assemble.
Airbox - DELETE ,battery-box 3., inner guard 2., seat locking mechanism (including that little 6mm nut tab-washer) 1..Rear wheel 5., rear fender 4., chain guard 6.

At the monment I don't know whether to pull everthing off to put the air-box in, or what! Unless, I have a Z1000 air-box and it just don't fit? Somethings wrong.
