My winter progress KZ750E rear suspension mod (Lots of pics) was created by wolfencopter
Hi all,
I'm posting a bunch of pics in this post as I am trying to decide how to go for my new rear suspension setup.
I want the bike to be a bit lower and I'd like to get the rear wheel out from under the bike a bit. I'm more concerned with looks and feel than I am with performance though I may change my mind on that.
I have three swingarms. The stock 750E (very short)a 76 900 arm thats about 2" longer but the axle is also larger. and a ZX6 arm thats also about 2" over stock. The ZX arm would mean more fab work.
I also am faced with the 16" ltd wheel or the stock 18". I like the look of the 16 and the width but I kind of like my 18 too.
I'm almost leaning towards just leaving it stock and lowering with a dif set of shocks.
What do you guys think?
And finally my humble shop

LOL! Thanks guys!
and my drums are right next to it so I can take out agression at will...
I think I'll go aluminum arm and the 18" wheel or the ZX wheel. Now I just need to find the ZX6 wheel. I think it was 1986.
Sorry the pics are so large.

I like the work space too!
I also prefer the look of the Aluminum swingarm and 18" wheel. The 18" balances better with a 19" front.

There's absolutely no doubt that you now hold the record for maximum number of pics in one post

"...and a ZX6 arm thats also about 2" over stock"
What do you mean by 'over stock' Over stock for the 750E or ZX6 modified.
Does the 18" wheel fit the standard ZX6 arm?
I am considering a monoshock conversion.
Bike look good, prefer the garage

Hey!! No I haven't talked to Duane about the project as of yet but I know he had plans for a streetfighter..
The over stock refers to the stock steel arm, not the aluminum one.
The shop...ahh the shop.. It's my cellar and it changes constantly... I play alot of deathmetal down there so she doesn't come down too often LOL...too cold for her as well.
I may look for the ZX6 wheel as well. It depends on how I can set up the stock (KZ) wheel. It won't accept a very wide tire so I may have to go to the ZX wheel.
Now that you've seen all the pics would you guys like me to delete a few from the post?
Thanks for all your great replies!
