Mark1122 - as WG said, the reg/rec would work, just it's not a direct plug-in for the later 79/80 bikes. Those bikes have a different connector block.

Does the newer setup have enough power to run 2 headlights?

76 KZ, frame gusset work,1200CC.Ported by Larry Cavanaugh, 1.5mm.over intakes, Carron Pipe, ZRX12 rear end, and seat,96zx9 front end.

The bike should be able to handle two 55w headlights. If you are using a Dyna ignition, the Dyna uses more power than the stock ignition by about 55w. So a Dyna plus an additional headlight may drain the battery significantly at lower RPMs.

Thanks .One of the other guys put 2 head lights on his 78 and they were not bright enough.So I wondered about the 79 &80's?
