That isn't the same type fuse holder as I have on my 79. I think my fuse holder is a Kaw unit because of the wires but am getting convinced that the bike should have the box type fuse holder that slips into the slot on the back of the battery box like yours. That is the type I have on the 80 KZ1000E2 I have. Thanks! I will just swap the 80's fuse holder out and find another on eBay.

My 79 ST's is like yours Bob. The stock ones tend to melt real fast though if there is too high a current draw but not high enough to blow the fuse.
