Ignition system (advancer) was created by Spatler
Hallo! Been thinking about changing back my ignition system to points after PO had installed an electrical one. I got an advancer that is from a kz400 1976. i got a 1979 kz400 and that advancer was a little different as i can see on pics online. Do ya'll think it's going to fuck it up or can i still use the one from 76? How big is the difference? Also got coil, points and condenser that isn't oem.
Thanks!

An update on this:
When i checked the valve clearence everything seemed to line up with the T mark on the advancer so i would guess the marks are accurate. Advice to others about aftermarket points is don't buy them Most of y'all could probably guess they wouldn't work. changed to original condenser and point and it fired up just fine after some frustrating hours of not understanding why it wouldn't start. Looking at air leaks atm as the rpms were off the charts and spraying starter spray around the intake changed it.
