The Dyna III replaces the pickup, rotor (on the mechanical advancer), and ignitor. The DYna III requires the ignition coils to be 3-ohms or higher otherwise the life of the Dyna may be shortened.
The stock coils, for KZ's with electronic ignition, are 2.5 ohms. If the 1981 650 CSR had points, then the stock coils should be 4-ohms.
