KZ400 electronic ignition? was created by JAy
Does anyone know who makes electronic ignition kits for the KZ400s?? I've got a 79 KZ400 B2 that i want to get an electronic kit for, but I'm having trouble finding a supplier.

Thanks.

Newtronics, I think.

Well, they used to sell it, maybe the new owners will start selling it again :(

Meantime, grab the electronic ignition off a 440 and install it.

Yes, I hope they make them again. Mine works great....

How about Boyer-Brandsen? Check out this page on Ibsen's KZ400.com:

...and scroll down to "Electronic ignition" near the bottom for details.

Good luck, and let us know what you do...

I don't see why Dyna doesn't just make one. It would be almost the same as the ones they already make. I think the Dyna would be way more reliable than the other two competitors.
