I can't help with the 82 harness, as they are a bit different than the earlier models, but I can tell you the wheels are not a direct bolt on. Are you sure that's an 82 with mag wheels? The 82 was a CSR with wire spoke wheels and drum brake on the rear, the 80 LTD had mags with a rear drum brake. The 82 also uses smaller axles than the 76-80 750 twins.

As I'm sure you have already discovered, you have to swap the reg/rec also, since the 76 and 82 use two entirely different types of charging systems. To use the drum brake rear, you will have to make a few changes since the 76 has a disk rear, might be a better idea to find a 77-80 KZ1000 rear mag, since it is a bolt on. But then you will also need a front mag off a 650 or 1000, since the 82 uses a smaller diameter axle than the 76.
Have you discovered that the choke pull knob hits the petcock (using the 82 carbs)?

If the carbs have a pull type choke (vs a lever type) and the bike is chain drive, then you have a 82 KZ750M1 CSR. The 750 twins only had one model for each year.
76- KZ750B1
77- KZ750B2
78- KZ750B3
79- KZ750B4 Last year of the centerstand.
80- KZ750G1
81- No 750 twins
82- KZ750M1 Electronic ignition and axle on front of forks.
83- KZ750K1 Belt drive and the end of the line.

I thought the carbs were the same size, but the 82 carbs have a pull choke that will hit the petcock on the 76. So I would use the 76 carbs.

I no longer have an 82 KZ750M1 (cause I sold it because I dislike the CSR styling and ergonomics) so I can not actually compare them right now.
