odyssey battery was created by solomrus
hey all.
i was curious if anyone here has tried the odyssey (hawker) 545 sealed battery in their kz 1000.
i've done some searching, and not come up with much regarding these, and just mainly wanted to see if it will fit in a stock battery box.
thanks for any input.

ok, i found out that there isn't an odyssey that will fit in a stock kz/ltd battery box. so, that pretty much answers the question that i had.
i still like the idea of one of those, but i will wait until i have the time and the inclination to build a box to fit it.
i went with a sealed AGM instead. it gives up a lot to the hawker, but fitment is the issue.

best battery you can get-- its the one i use in the prostreet bike and my dragbike-- you might be able to turn it and sit it on its end and slide into the stock box? not sure though--

yup, the specs on those look great! never tried it, but i'd bet one of those would easily crank a smaller hi-comp engine. 8^)
do you know offhand which size you run? is it the 545 or the 545mj?

roger that wire. got it, replied.
the mj has a metal jacket. overall dimensions are a little more than the standard 545.
that's the one i was close to picking up, until i measured my battery box. no extra room.
i'll keep it in mind for the future. if i do a monoshock setup, i'll have to tuck it away up high. we'll see tho.
