900cc
manual note says "to lock engine without a special tool shift the trans. into 5th gear and have someone step on the brake pedal.
Trans is in neutral.
I've got the sprocket cover off and the clutch cable disconnected.
How do I shift?
Thanks

put the shifter back on and get somebody to spin rear wheel really fast while you shift.depending on which bike you have a big ball bearing and top center bolt off top triple tree makes a good puller;)
