That's the only thing I haven't gotten to work perfectly on mine.
And I've seen similar stories all over the net.

Funky setup, it really gives it a unique look. What do you think of it? You get your speedo and tach through it, I take it?

I'm sorry... It is kinda funny though. Bbesides, I told you I'd trade you! I got that GPz550 running tonight so as soon as I finish recovering the seat, I'm open for a trade.
I saw a KZ650 in craigslist for about $500 the other day I was thinking of picking up. I'd be happy to grab the next good deal I see and hold it for you and you could hit me back later. I don't know specifically where you are but if you're near i-90 between here and Boston, I'd be happy to drop it off.

Yeah, that'd be a smokin' deal, and the kind that appeals to me, and a 'buddy deal' from you, much thanks; the draw back is the wife is (very) tolerant of the current fleet, but if I add another (at this time in the savings account) it could cause a little 'disturbance in the force'. Not to get too personal, but we're on course to being debt free in February. The cash for the bike would represent one of the car payments and I told her we'd focus on the money goal thing...then get back in my groove! :woohoo: Heck man, I had to pass-up a smokin' deal 'buy back' on my old '82 GPz750 that I ELR "cloned" years ago and sold to a buddy; I've been working on him every since to get it back...he finally folds under my relentless pressure and I'm in the middle of this financial freedom drive and my hands are tied... ...ah well. I'm even bailing on a few items in the garage to help speed this process along; a couple guys on this site have benefited from my eBay summer blow outs.
Back to the point: I greatly appreciate the offer, and normally I'd be "in"...but me and normal ain't never danced before and I'd hate to start now  ...sorry, that's Kansan-ese for "catch me on the next one"...for now, I'll have to stick to bitchin' and complaining; you don't mind, do ya?

Rock steady, 100% perfect, I'm dead serious. The coil around the plug wire is a total joke.
Also, for my KZ1000, the 1.0 RPM divider (or i guess lack thereof a divided) is the one that is correct.

I'm going to give that a try this evening.
I really love this thing other than the wrapped wire part. So you just hooked it to the terminal on one of the coils that is the signal lead from the electronic ignition, correct?

the tach on my Acewell works perfect now that I have put a ring terminal on the end of the now 8" yellow tacho pickup lead, and attached it to my Dyna coils on the Dyna-S side, (not the steady 12v side).
