If the plug wire has any extra length, then snip off about 1/4" and see if you get a fresh end. If you need to snip more and it's too short, then you can use a plug wire splicer tinyurl.com/3cphzv (you don't need to use ebay, they are available elsewhere) and a new length of wire. There is a mod to replace bad plug wires somewhere in the archives, by ibsen. You can buy new plug wire from Z1Enterprises.

You can cut the wire back until you get a fresh end if the wire is long enough. Remove the rubber boot from the plug cap and slide it up aways onto the fresh cut wire. Sometimes a little oil off the side of your nose helps this procedure...or some grease :laugh: Then re-thread the plug cap onto the wire (with the screwy thang) until its good and snug. Then pull the rubber boot back down where it's spoda be over the cap...done!

That ought to help her run better with a solid connection.

In additio to what the guys say above I'd suggest getting a new plug cap (they're cheap) I'm guessing that the one you have is the original. I used to passionately hate those metal shrouded ones. They are prone to corrosion and shorting out giving weak spark or no spark.
