KZ550 Starter Lockout switch?

I need some help on my 550. I worked on my putting my electrics on today and everything went pretty well(thanks to some direction from Loudhvx). However, there are two black wires that come out of the harness up near where the coils are located. Acoring to the wiring diagram they connect to the "starter Lockout switch". Is this the switch that is activated when i pull in the clutch? If i dont want it can i eliminate it by connecting the two wires together?

i would extend the 2 wires to somewhere out of way where you can mount a toggle switch.then you have an anti theft device so you can kill the power to ignition so it cant be started even if somebody gets your keys unless they know where switch is;)
