Hey, I just got my 1976 KZ900 two days ago, and it's in pristine condition; I bought it from the first owner who used to work for Kawasaki. Anyway, it still has the stock ignition system in it, and I was wondering the advantages to upgrading to a Dyna S or something similar. Thanks for the help.

One advantage is that you never need to adjust/replace your points. Because of this, I think you'll get an increase in reliability. I'm not sure what it does for performance. Others may opine on that.

I put one in my KZ1000, and it works great. Relatively easy to install too.
