I was jetting the carbs, got it to run very nice. I rode it up and down my street a few times with no popping or bogging.
I went inside to get my jacket for a test ride, and when I hit the starter.......Nothing happened!
No head light, no tail light and no horn.
I checked the fuses and they are all fine..
I checked the battery and it has 12.5V
Could it be the relay and if so how do I check it?

Did you physically pull the fuses and check them? If there is any corrosion on one of the end clips the end of the fuse slowly will melt and the center will still be good. Check that you battery cables are clean and tight at the battery and the ground wire and cable going to the solenoid are clean and tight. If this all proves ok it's time to start checking your harness the best place to start is all the connections in the headlight bucket

Also, it would be a good idea to put the year and model of your bike in you sig line. Click on "my profile" and you will find the editing there.

Try wiggling the key,once You have it in the ignition and turned on,and see what happens...kill-switch on?:huh:

did you check the battery connection, both pos and neg? that is if the fuses are good

Ok found the problem...
I did pull the fuses and they looked fine, but when I checked them with a meter I found that the main was blown.
It blew at the end under the cap so you could not see it.
Now what caused the fuse to blow?

It MAY have just been an old fuse,and with some good vibration...kazap! It's happened to a LOT of Guys here...a lot.Me included.
Pop another one in there and run the bike,but keep an eye on the fusebox.Keep feeling the fuses to see if they get hot,or really warm.

Clean the connectors that plug onto the ends of the fuse. Like I said before, any resistance there will cause heat which will gradually melt the end of the fuse and make it lose contact again. The heat also causes the connector to lose it's tension. Now is a good time for a blade type fuse box upgrade it easy and fairly inexpensive for the benefits that are derived from it. There are several posts on it. I think there is an article in the filebase too.
