Where can I get a key blank! was created by 1gewehr
Yeah, the Kaw dealer can order it for $12.50 plus. but I'm too cheap to pay that plus have it cut.
My only key is pretty worn. No discernable numbers left, and Wally World doesn't have a match for the blank. So, I figgered I'd ask the all-knowing dudes here.
Bike is '80 KZ750 G1 LTD/2.

Well I used these guys a few months back to cut me a key from a code number and it cost me just under $20 including shipping. I would assume they could supply you with just a blank no problem but I'm not sure of the cost.

I had a duplicate made at ACE Hardware last weekend. They had ILCO blanks and the kid matched it up to a 4 wheeler key. He cut it, and it worked the ignition. I had to file a bit off one part as it didn't work the seat lock, but it worked after that. For $2.50 I wasn't complaining.

Well, Ace Hardware didn't have it, could order it for a slight charge .
Decided to just order a cut key from Key-men.com. Found the key code on the side of the seat lock cylinder. FYI, the 1980 KZ750 G1 proves once again to be the red-headed step-child of the Kawasaki line! Key codes for these bikes are "Z" with a number from 5000 to 8000.
The correct Ilco blank number is KA14/X103.
I learn something every day!
