Dyna ignition was created by pumps
Well spring fever bit me today and I finally broke down and ordered new Dyna ignition, new coils and a set of new red plug wires this afternoon. I know it will be much better than the stock set up. The dead presidents were squinting their eyes as I pulled them out!

Good to go John, but I am way ahead of you and Bandit. I have been riding my SR for like 2 weeks now. Feels like a brand new bike!

Installed my Dyna S a couple weeks ago, WOW... what a difference! And yes, DO solder the 12 volt red wire! Do not use the blue crimp supplied in the kit, my bike started missing and dieing until I soldered that connection. Bike starts, idles, and runslike a whole new machine!! :woohoo:

KZwolfsr , I have ridden a day here and there but it seems the days where it has been nice I have either been on duty at the station or just too beat from my part time job. Today it was nice and I had to catch up on lost sleep from yesterdays shift. Tomorrow I can go for a looong ride.
Bluemeanie you remember when it WAS a new machine huh? Still a good ol' girl ain't she?

Yea pumps, remember walking into Coston's Kawasaki in Albq, N.M. and seeing five blue 650's lined up and said I'll take one (Blue my favorite color) An hour later I was running down the road. With the DynaS it runs as good if not better than new, pulls HARD to redline and in 26 years and 48,000 miles has NEVER left me on the side of the road. I'd like a new bike (ZXR1200) but will never get rid of old blue, one of the best middle weight bikes ever produced!

Last Saturday I did the coil re-power mod, new dyna coils, new plug wires and new Dyna ignition. got it all put on but not timed. Last night I found the time (not raining and not working) to finish her up. She runs and starts like a completely different animal. Rode into the fire station today and I am happy as a clam.
