Main Wiring Harness - Routing? was created by floridamba
My 82 1000ltd has the main wiring harness on the left side of the triple tree - when I go full-lock left the triple clamp pinches the wiring. This is not good.

How should this route? Under the bottom triple clamp and under the plastic badge and into the headlight?

If so, what is the best way to do this, drop the wheel and pull the forks down or disconnect and reconnect a gazillion wires?

many thanks in advance

A shot in the dark here, since I'm not experienced with your model but I believe that most KZ's have the harness routed on the left side. Are you sure that you can't just use some cable wraps to hold the harness out of the pinch zone?
