Go to e-bay or local parts store and buy a 86-92 vw golf single round headlight (about 15.00usd),these are flat and look goos ,then get a blue xenon halogen bulb and you will be as bright as noticeable at night ,if your wiring gets hot go with a relay to more amps ,your wiring will not be hurt.B)

You should only use a motorcycle spacific headlight. The dispersion pattern is different then a car headlight. I have been using Bosch motorcycle H4 type headlights for years with very good results. I also always upgrade the electricl system with a pair of relays and 12 guage wires for both the powerd side of the system and the ground side too. Parts Unlimited sells the correct Bosch bulb so your local dealer should be able to get you the light you need.

Checked out the light at JCW and it seems perfect! Less than $20 too! I'm not much into electrical so will this halogen swap right in with no elect problems?

I read somewhere that automotive lights can't withstand the vibration of the bike and do not last as long..

This may have been evil propaganda that persuades people to buy $70 KZ headlights off ebay and not $7.21 headlights from JEFF at Z1 enterprises.... I'm going off the assumption that this is a 7" fit?!?!

PS.. bought one from Jeff... works perfect.....:P

Yes it is 7" (my wife says it looks smaller :woohoo: ) Does the halogen affect my wiring at all? Don't want to have to "rewire" anything. I'm a plug and play kinda guy.

If you stick with the 55/60 watt light you will be fine with the stock wiring. If you ever decide to go to the 80watt and higher bulbs, then I would rewire the headlight circuit with thicker wire and use a relay.

But really, the 55/60 bulb will be amazing in brightness if all you rode with before was the stock 35w light.
