Wiring Diagram KZ1000 85 P was created by Allshookup
I am looking for the wiring diagram for an '85 KZ1000 P or just an '85 KZ1000.
If anyone has one is there any way I could get a photocopy or a scan emailed to me.
I need to rewire the headlight & turn signal. I have checked the fuses and bulbs, all good. So, I'm assuming they are not wired correct. There is a lot of extra wire all over my bike it has been cut and spliced several times. I would like to completely rewire it this winter.
Thanks for your help,

My scanner is not working.
Sounds like you need a manual for your cop bike?
The factory Kawasaki book is the best and you can get a "Police supplement" for it as well.
Kinda pricey @ the dealers tho. Check e-bay, I got my supplement for about six bucks there.
Clymer book number M451-3 is the next best bet, it's good and covers everything, some of the pictures are not as clear as they should be. But it's well worth the money and a whole lot cheaper than the factory manual. Again, check e-bay.
good luck !
P.S. While your re-wiring? You may want to replace the old glass fuse box with a small blade type box.
Forgot where I got mine, auto-zone, napa, radio shack? You can put it under your left side cover, it even has a waterproof 'snap-on' cover on it.
Anyway, over time, those old glass fuses and fuse holders don't hold up very well. You check em, they seem fine but they are not.
