Can anyone tell me why my air filter housing won't sit correct and attach properly to the carb intake box with the battery in? For some reason the top of the housing gets pushed up by the battery so it will not seat onto the carb box. If the top part of the housing is removed the housing with filter seats properly to the carb box but if the top cover is connected it can't sit all the way down.. I ordered a battery that is oem dimensions and it fits perfect and the filter housing is the oem housing.
Is there an aftermarket air filter housing that's top is different and doesn't sit on top of the battery, or is there an aftermarket filter housing that isn't so big and would fit better?
