Hello, I recently picked up an 84 police in blue that has pods. Can anyone tell me which air boxes would fit l, as I’d like to return it to stock.

Thanks,

av

It appears to be the same as an 81-82 Ltd/CSR
PS: I would sort the carb leak before it bursts into flames

According to Partzilla, it was also used on the KZ1000J and the KZ1000R (ELR).

+1 on fixing the carbs. Flames are bad.

You can probably use the airbox assy from any KZ1000P >> 1982 - 2005.
Here's the 1982 & 2005 diagrams which look the same, but you should compare stuff to make certain.

Thanks all. And sorting the carbs will be the first thing I get to.

Just an FYI. The carburetors may have been re-jetted for the individual pod filters.  There should be sizes stamped into the main jets & pilot jets. but you maya already know this stuff. hee.

I appreciate the heads up. The PO said he just put the pods on there to keep the carbs from being open (I think he stored it covered outside), but I have no idea what was on there before that. I will need to investigate.
